Description
 Orta
Saint Giulio is a charming, almost untouched medieval
village on the shores of Lake Orta. A maze of alleyways and cobbled
lanes lead you to the
main square, Piazza Motta.
The square is
surrounded by pretty shops and cafes and offers a panoramic view
across to the sparkling waters of the lake and Saint Giulio’s
Island. Highlight of the tranquil Saint Giulio’s Island is the
Romanesque Basilica dedicated to Saint Giulio.
