Public Transport around Stresa

A great way to explore the area is by public transport.

From Stresa and other resorts around the lake you can use the public ferry service which is efficient, good value for money and takes you to all the major towns on Lake Maggiore, including the Borromean islands.

Stresa also has a train station and Italian trains are excellent value for money. Train tickets cost the same whenever you buy them (there is nothing similar to Apex fares) and a return is exactly double the price of a single. For more information see our trains section.
