Stresa Ferries, Lake Maggiore

From Stresa, the easiest way to explore Lake Maggiore is by local ferry. In the immediate area (the Borromean Bay) there are regular ferries running every 30 minutes all day from around 08.00 until around 18.00. You can download the timetables below.

The best way to explore the Borromean Bay is using a "Rover Ticket" which allows you to hop on and off the ferries all day. Current prices range from €14.80 to €22.20 depending on which area you wish to cover.

We are official agents for the local ferry company so pop in and see us in Stresa for tickets.

You can use the prices on our download as a guide. Then the easiest way is to come in and see us. Tell Marta, Carla or Laura where you'd like to visit and they will tell you the best ticket for your journey.

Can I take my dog on the ferry?

Dogs are allowed on the ferries so long as they are wearing a muzzle and are kept on the lead. For visiting Switzerland they will need a pet passport showing that they up to date with their jabs. They pay the child rate and are not permitted in the restaurant.
